Choose clear acrylic for maximum transparency or frosted acrylic for a softer, more diffused presence.

Why This Piece

Axis is built around contrast.

Stainless steel gives the structure definition: cool, precise lines that establish its architectural frame.

Acrylic does almost the opposite.

Rather than visually filling the space between those lines, it allows light and the surrounding interior to remain part of the composition.

Together, the two materials create a display stand that feels structured without becoming heavy.

We particularly like it for surfaces where objects tend to accumulate horizontally. By introducing two or three levels, Axis creates usable space upward while maintaining a remarkably shallow 14 cm / 5.5 in depth.

Frosted Acrylic

A quieter, softer interpretation.

The translucent surface diffuses what lies behind it rather than revealing everything completely, giving the shelving itself slightly more presence.

In fact, we prefer it when it isn't.

Leave a little space between cups.

Allow one fragrance bottle to occupy an entire level.

Place ceramic beside glass rather than arranging identical objects in uninterrupted rows.

The empty areas allow the acrylic to remain visible and give the stainless steel structure room to define the composition.

Organization does not have to mean filling every available space.

Care

Remove dust with a clean, soft cloth.

Use non-abrasive materials on acrylic surfaces to reduce the risk of scratching.

Wipe stainless steel gently with a soft cloth and avoid harsh or abrasive cleaning materials.

Dry surfaces after cleaning and avoid allowing moisture or cleaning products to remain around joints.

Handle the stand carefully when repositioning it, particularly when objects are displayed on the shelves.

Curator's Note

The decision between Clear and Frosted changes this piece more than it may initially seem.

Choose Clear when you want Axis to almost disappear and the objects to take over.

Choose Frosted when you want to see the architecture of the shelving itself.

For a coffee station or glassware display, our preference would be the Three Tier / Clear combination.
